I took and old drawing I did of some bamboo. Make it a .psd file. Copy the background layer. Go to the channels tab and click on the dotted circle on the bottom, it will select all the white on the image. Click delete! Now you've got a layer with just the black lines of the drawing (delete the orignal background layer now). Then lock it, and fill it with white. Now drag that layer onto whatever you want! Hope that makes sense =) This works well for colouring under lineart too.

this is so great... I just finished up a chick with tentacles... & I drew a guy with one as a head yesterday. Not nearly as good as yours, yet I'm thrilled!
