I've seen a lot of "dark" interpretations of Mario and other "light" stuff, but this is one of my favorites. The detail and the desaturated colors really make it look unique, yet the traditional game elements really balance out the darkness. I ended up embedding it in a post called "Mario Brothers Files: Peaches and Bullet Bills" that looks at the use of "gritty and dark" when combined with pop or "light" works. I have the link to the main blog in my signature if you want to take a look at it.

Keep it up! You have a very distinctive style and a great gallery!
